Sending cash is not allowed
European regulations prohibit courier companies from carrying cash or cash equivalents (credit cards, bearer bonds etc). This means, that if you lose your purse or wallet with cash in it - and its found - we can't sent you the cash. They will need to be send you electronically - via bank transfer. A number of companies provide this service i.e Western Union for a fee.
Credit cards need to be cancelled and re-issued by your bank.
Precious metals (i.e. gold nuggets or gold plates) are also forbidden and could be confiscated by the customs authorities if found. Not your average travel accessory, by we need to clarify this.
